TERBERG SPECIAL VEHICLES is a producer of robust and intelligent shunting vehicles for ports, distribution centers, heavy industry, marshaling yards and airports.

TERBERG SPECIAL VEHICLES tractors have been used in ports around the world for many years, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods, while providing maximum safety, comfort and reliability.

For ports and port handling, TERBERG SPECIAL VEHICLES has designed two lines of port tractors:

the new generation of YT tractors (Yard/Terminal Tractors) with the YT193 and YT223 products mainly used for transporting containers between quayside cranes and tank yards;
and RoRo (Roll-on / Roll-off) tractors with the RT223, RT283 and RT323 vehicles that allow containers to be transported inside ro-ro vessels, ships equipped with one or more access ramps for tractors (se distinguishing from usual cargo ships where the products are loaded vertically by cranes).

The new generation Terberg YT193/YT223 terminal tractors are even more durable and easier to maintain. Operators benefit from the highest level of comfort and ergonomics.

The new YT is extremely robust and durable. It has been extensively tested in test labs and on the test track. The frame is hot-dip galvanized against corrosion.

The cabin has been completely redesigned. New fingertip controls are placed directly beside the seat. The cabin suspension is particularly comfortable and similar to that used in on-road trucks.

The accessibility of mechanical and electrical components throughout the vehicle has greatly improved. The dashboard can be removed and replaced in minutes. The repair is also more efficient. Covers, bumpers and windows are easy to replace.

Optional Terberg Connect tractor telematics facilitate proactive maintenance to increase uptime.

As for Terberg RoRo tractors with 4×4 drive with 180° Ergoturn® swivel seat, they are designed to operate in RoRo (Roll-on / Roll-off , RoRo) ships with steep ramps and in industrial yards due to their robust design and powerful transmission, guaranteeing safe and efficient handling of goods. Port operators appreciate the SafeNeck® system, which significantly increases safety when hauling heavy loads up steep ship ramps. This system improves weight distribution between trailer and tractor and can increase load capacity by up to 250% when operating on ramps and inclines.
